MY JOURNEY

Before having my daughter in 2018, I thought anxiety was a cop out, a crutch, an excuse for not confronting your emotions or taking care of yourself. I was wrong and I’m sorry for my assumptions. To those of you who are dealing with anxiety and not getting the care, attention, and connection you need - I'm sorry.

For me, anxiety sneaks out by way of insomnia. Sometimes I will go days and even weeks without sleeping more than 1-2 hours per night. Sometimes I will not sleep at all, fighting through panic, loneliness, and mental disruption. I’ve tried everything I can to work through this naturally. I’ve had doctors who refuse to dig deep and I’ve talked to therapists who don’t listen.

I’ve found that I thrive through human connection and knowing I’m not alone in this battle with my thoughts. I’m here to share my journey in hopes of reaching even just one of you, all while seeking healing myself.

MY REINVENTION

For years I wanted to go back to school, but for a while I thought I missed that opportunity. As a Mom and a wife working a full time job, I always thought “there’s just no time.” As part of my healing journey, I have realized I must dedicate time to my dreams, no matter what it takes. With that conviction, I enrolled in the American Fitness Professionals Association [AFPA] program to become a Holistic Health Coach and completed that certification.

 

Before you run from me and think “great, another Health Coach,” please know that this journey is first and foremost for ME. It is the first thing I’ve done in a long time that belongs to me.

 

Secondly though, I educated myself to also provide quality content and reliable resources to help YOU. Healing cannot happen without proper education, community and endless support. You too deserve all the happiness.

I believe that every person is seeking wellness, healing, and striving to better themselves, in their own way. I'm here to connect you with reliable information and the best resources for your path.*

 

My brand speaks to both my past (EberHART) and my present (McLAUGHlin) because true wellness is about finding a connection between the two and carrying lessons with you. I seek a balance between mind, body, and spirit but allow plenty of room for practicality, forgiveness, searching, sustainability, and LOVE.

MY WHY

As a Coloradan, I love all things outdoors, including running, hiking, camping, and snowshoeing. Whether by luck or destiny, I met my husband Dave in 2013 on St. Patrick's Day. He is the most incredibly supportive partner and a wonderful father to our two-year-old daughter.

 

With my daughter's arrival, my focus on health and physical fitness has shifted in the best possible way - from being something I demand of myself to something I turn to in support of my mental and emotional health, with an emphasis on listening to my body. I now place as much importance on mindful yoga and meditation as I do on a long run. I strive to be a role model of balance, body positivity, and true health for my daughter. 

 

My family is a vital part of my "why." In addition to the deep realization that I am worthy of health and wholeness, I cannot be a complete mother and wife without also dedicating myself to this wellness journey.
